Can you do benchmarks like in this video on E5-2699 v4 please? Looking for a comparison between i7-6950x and e5 2699.

I believe they won't go far on consumer CPU since the better it gets, the easier 11yo kids could crack up passwords and stuff.
Call it a conspiracy but we'll may end up getting false benchmark cores :D

Intel's putting less focus on power now? This could be an opportunity for AMD!

anyone have an idea where the 2600 falls on this? I'm trying to see if it's worth it to build around that processor since I already have one (for a $500 total computer) or if I could build a better computer for $500

Right now my parts list if i did the upgrade would be
    i7 2600
    16gb ddr3 1866 (upgrade)
    1050 ti (upgrade)
    ADATA 256gb ssd (upgrade)
    Asus P8H61-I motherboard (upgrade)
EVGA Supernova 550w 80+ Gold psu (upgrade)
    and a Thermaltake V1 (upgrade)

Would this be alright as a 1080 res rig, or would the processor bottleneck too much?

Just built my new pc with a FX8370E , since I play just a few games and I don't see any improvements in Intel from the 2013 , it s just a CPU commercial , they should do like AMD , if there is no improvement stop selling new CPUs which are the same of the oldest one , like I7 6700K and 7700K oh please explain me the difference and this huge power from one year to another .
Intel is like Apple , same stuff but with new look .

considering there hasnt been any real competition to intel its not surprising weve seen barely any improvements in the last few years of intel.

Why would you test the $1000 chip instead of the $200-300 chip that is going to be the most common?

I have a Core i5-2500 (no "k" at the end) and i don't see myself upgrading anytime soo- Ooh, there's an AMD CPU for 150 dollars and has a clock speed of 4GHZ? Octa core? ooh I don't have the right motherboard…

Maybe it's time for video games to add AI and content interaction beyond 1998 levels and put those extra cores to work for once.

single core performance is really the only thing… well and heat and power. thing intel has over AMD. everything you find in an Intel chip you find in an AMD chip. and more in AMD. performance? well. game designers are making games for the lowest consumer in mind. AMD. well. soon to be intel
